Confederate Cemetery

by shoornMar 18, 2019
2 page LO of the cemetery at Beauvoir. In 1903 the house was used for veterans and their wives and when they passed they were buried in the cemetery.

I used the double page sketch for this one. pps- Craftsmith, HOTP. The flowers are stamped (CTMH) and fussy cut. The larger ones I used watercolors on. Doily - Recollections, black alphas - Paper Studio, numbers - Basic Grey

Journaling: Confederate Soldiers Cemetery was established in 1903 as part of the soldiers' home - 780 veterans and wives are buried here. The tomb of the Unknown Soldier contains the remains of an unknown Southern soldier killed in battle.

Lovely! I like how you repeat elements like the doilies, circles and flowers across the two pages, and the soft color scheme fits the theme here.

Is that in Biloxi? I never knew it existed. I like your patterned paper and color choices. Great take on the sketch. Thanks for doing the double page challenge this month.
