The next set of pages for the album I am scrapping for my mom about my grandmother. This spread covers my mom growing up and meeting my dad and getting married. TFL!
I printed my journaling for this spread on transparency film. I had a lot to say and I hated to cover up so much of the pretty patterned paper I used for the background. It is subtle enough that it doesn't interfere with the text at all. Before I printed the journaling I bordered it using a border design from my page layout program (all blocks except for the circle) and then I set the color to 50% black so it would be subdued. Then I trimmed close to the edge of the border and used my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen (I LOVE this thing) to "draw" a line of glue under all the borders of each block to glue it down. Worked great and you can't see it at all. I love not only that the pretty pearlescent paint strokes of the paper show through but also that some of the foil swirls that would have been covered by the journaling blocks show under the film.
