Black & White

Brother & Sister

I made this layout because my kids could not possibly be more different from one another. They are like black and white. The journaling is hidden on pull-out tags beneath the pictures:

(Under main picture) "It’s difficult to imagine two human beings more different than the two of you. It’s easy to see by looking at you that you are brother and sister. You look very much alike. But your personalities are like night and day. It certainly makes my work as your Mommy very interesting! And I wouldn’t have it any other way."

(Under Thomas' picture) "Thomas: You are more like me than I care to admit. Your desire for perfection produces a fear of things that are new or different. You are reluctant to attempt things you worry you won’t do perfectly on the first try. I see much of my own demanding personality in you and I understand exactly how you feel. You are also sweet and affectionate, never hesitant to give me a hug or a kiss or a zerbet and tell me that you love me. I love you because you’re you!"

(Under Rose's picture) "Rose: I admire your joy. You are one of the happiest little human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. People comment on it all the time: "Is she always singing and dancing? Is she always smiling like that?" Pretty much! At the same time, you have learned exactly how to push your brother’s buttons and can make him crazy faster than anyone else on the planet. You love him and you love to drive him crazy! I love you because you’re you!"

Materials used:

Patterned paper: Arctic Frog "Rainy Weather"

Blue letter stickers: Arctic Frog "Rainy Alpha"

Cardstock "stamp" stickers: Arctic Frog "Rainy Accents" (Rose's says "Carefree" and Thomas' says "Steady")

Rub-on letters: Making Memories (Heidi blueberry)

Mini-brads: Doodlebug

Ribbon: Doodlebug, Michael's

Colored staples: Making Memories

Also--I used tiny pictures from the proof in the borders on the bottom (squares) and top (circles).

Thanks for looking!

One more to go! :-)
