Daddy's Hands
by BrendaDelaJun 2, 2006
Journaling:
Daddy:
You did not arrive in my life until I was 15. But the years that you were with us will always be remembered. You inherited an instant family when you married our mother, and overnight you had six children. Most men could or would not have undertaken such a huge responsibility. You loved every one of us equally and defended us to the end. We always looked to you for guidance and assistance. You gave us your heart freely and without abandonment. You made us a complete family in all ways and our memories of you continue to be cherished. I still recall the words to the song “Daddy’s Hands” the lyrics remind us of you. You’ve been gone for 6 years now, and I still cry whenever I hear your song.
“Daddy’s Hands were soft and kind when I was crying. Daddy’s hands were hard as steel when I’d done wrong. Daddy’s hands weren’t always gentle, but I’ve come to understand, there was always love in daddy’s hands.”
You will always be loved and missed.
