- Contests & Challenges

I took Flora’s Mix It Up challenge and used mixed media. My first time using gesso, using a toilet paper tube (hearts), and making a mess! I had my fingers in acrylic paint, trying to fix my mistakes. I used a water brush and Tim Holtz ink to age my journaling paper. I used up some cut file leaves that I didn’t need from another page. Most of all, what made me want to do this was the “twist”. I had a piece of fabric from my long-departed MIL. I had taken a photo of me in her shirt. The shirt she always wore, her favorite shirt, a part of her. Entered too, in KAREN_SUE’s journaling challenge. Thanks for looking!
