Scrap a Day, December 13th
Hey Cherries. It’s cold again. 28 with a feels like of 18. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon and a few errands to run, and in between will be tending to gift sorting and wrapping. I would love to have it all done by the end of the weekend. In the meantime, Cable showed up this morning and is working on installing my permanent line as we speak. Finally. The last tech that was here really got the ball rolling.

Have a great day Cherries.

27/18 here so pretty much the same as you!

Only got 2 sides of my border done yesterday. Tired and had really, really lousy sleep. We'll see how today goes.

Hey Barb 😊 that's AWESOME that you're cable is getting fixed to the fullest 😊 Even better that you're just about done with all the gift wrapping! I'm sure you'll knock it out by the end of the weekend! 😊
Have a wonderful day, Barb! 😊

I HATE lousy sleep, Tam! I go through it sometimes SMH. Hopefully you'll be able to take a small nap later, or at LEAST get some good rest tonight! 😉
I hope you have a good day and can get some work done on your quilt! 😊

Another cold day here, Cherries! 😉 Could ALWAYS be worse! Lol!
I have work today at 5, meds coming and want to get a few things done before work. Having coffee now. I stayed up kinda late talking to my mom, then reading.
Started on my art journal spread for the weekly art journal sketch challenge. LOVE that they added that! 😊
Not sure what else I'll get into. I did finish 5 more cards and got them posted to some challenge. I'm looking forward to scrappin' again after I get all my cards addressed and filled out.
Stay blessed, Cherries! 😊

Good afternoon! It's cold here, too but luckily, we have nowhere to go today. Our cleaning ladies are here, and I just finished this layout for the Sketch with a Twist Challenge. I'm hoping we can keep out house clean until Christmas!!!

Good Friday the 13th.  Rainy here but not nearly as cold as has been.   House only got down to 64 overnight as opposed to the mornings las week or so of 57-58.

didn’t quite finish getting my cards ready to mail but should get that done this morning.  Lunch with a friend this afternoon at a new place called Fat Dogs and Spuds!    My friend is a freak for hot dogs. Drugstore and grocery on way home.  Then tomorrow if it doesn’t rain all day over to Home Depot for a tree.   La Vida Loca!

have a safe pleasant Friday

Re: Scrap a Day, December 13th
We were out this morning to order our new glasses.  DH needs a new RX and wants sunglasses too.  I have a slight change in mine, but needed new frames.  We've gone to My Eye Doctor in past years for eye exams and glasses.  The optometrist there was highly rated and we were comfortable with her.  Well, when I called to make an appointment in August, I was informed they are now using a virtual process for exams.  Everything is done remotely with a two way video call.  Well, I'm good with change, but not this.  My eye sight is too important to me.  I want to talk face to face with the Dr. looking at my eye.  I see an Ophthalmologist on a regular basis for my glaucoma, and the Optometrist is for glasses only.  I searched to find the one we were seeing (because she left My Eye Dr. for same reason) and found her in the health facility that is more local to us.  We were traveling 25 miles and now only travel 6.  It's a win, win for us.  The facility is in the process of adding eye wear to their program but won't have it by the end of the year so we had to  order elsewhere for now.  Now, we're home having lunch and then I'm headed to organize gifts and start the wrapping process.

Oh Vicki!!! I’ve never heard of virtual eye appointments!!! I don’t blame you for not wanting to do that especially with your situation! So glad you were able to find your good ophthalmologist and that she’s so much closer to you!!!  Have fun sorting and wrapping gifts!!!

Re: Scrap a Day, December 13th
Hello dear Cherries!!!

WE DID IT!!!!!!  We started the moving process yesterday and spent our first night in our HOUSE!!!! It is so amazing!!! This house has such a warm and cozy feel and it just flows so well! Steve did an amazing job of designing and building it!!! I LOVE it!!!

We went to town yesterday and I grocery shopped while he did the other errands. Then we brought the groceries to the house because there’s no point in moving them twice! And later we went over to the cabin and got what we needed for the night. I spent a bit of time bending over and picking up nails and screws and other things so I wouldn’t step on them and hurt myself too. I WAY overdid things and we forgot to bring the Tylenol so I ended up taking some meds instead. I slept so well I didn’t get up until about 10:30!!!! Lolol!

This is the first time I’ve been here in the morning and watched the sky. It’s constantly changing!!! And it’s soooo pretty!!! It’s hard not to just sit on the couch and watch it! :)

Theres a lot of mess to be cleaned up. It’s been a construction zone for 5 years and it’s really only been cleaned twice for 2 of my birthday parties so I have my work cut out for me. Lol! I’ve taken before pictures so I can document this. My first thing will be the kitchen. He’s working on the stove right now to change it to propane. Then I can even cook over here!!!

Can you tell how happy I am?! I’ve waited a VERY long time for this! It’s been worth the wait!
Hope you’re all staying warm and having a great day!!!!!

So happy for you finally getting into you home, Ginni!  That will be a process too cleaning up, moving and organizing.  Take your time and enjoy being there for the holiday.

Re: Scrap a Day, December 13th
Whew!  Made it to Friday in a very. long. week.  lol  Next week will fly by, but this week at school was like pulling teeth.  Slow and painful!  So many students who have been procrastinating since Thanksgiving break and now they are concerned they won't finish projects in time. Aaaahhhhh!

I'm having a glass of wine and thinking about how much I'll enjoy sleeping in tomorrow!  :)

That sounds crazy! I don't know how they can possibly get a good eye exam that way! That is so great that you found the Optometrist that you like AND she is now a lot closer to you! A win-win for sure!
