Hello, Cherries!
I have selected the theme PLAY for my 2-hour time slot on Friday, May 2 from 3-5 PM. All my challenges will be open to any paper-craft project: layouts, cards, journals, tags, albums, whatever your creative heart finds playful and fun!
The first challenge is all about COLOR PLAY.
I recently purchased a color wheel from the ACOT store. I have been intrigued by the information on the wheel as well as the ideas for different ways to use color. If you don't own one yet, you might enjoy putting it on your wish list. So, let's play with some color!
Pick a category of color and use it throughout your project:
1. Primary colors---red, yellow, blue
2. Tints---these are pastel colors that result from adding white to the base color
3. Shades---I like to call these "Royals" because of the deep color that comes from adding black to the base color
4. Primary opposites---orange, purple, green
5. Monochromatic---one color with its tints, shades and tones
When you post your project, tell which category of color you used.
CLARIFICATIONS: From questions asked below:
Wimom asked about black/white YES, you may use black/white in addition to your colors.
PEIhaven asked:
So blue is my favorite, from the primary category…may I use some other colors, too?
If you choose the category PRIMARY you must use red, yellow and blue.
If you have lots of blue, you might consider MONOCHROME and use all the hues of blue you love.
You might also consider ROYALS if you want to use deep blues, or PASTELS for light blues.
If you choose ROYALS or PASTELS, you can use other colors but they must also be of the deep or pastel variety.
