Scrap a Day, June 26th
Hey Cherries. Aiden had a really nice moving up ceremony yesterday. I can't believe that my little grandson is not little anymore and will be going to high school in the fall! And speaking of growing up and high school, my Maddie is graduating high school today! So hard to for me to believe this too! I'll be going to her gradation ceremony later today.

Today is also my dad's heavenly birthday. Hard to believe he is gone almost 12 years now.

A lot of "hard to believes" for me today. I wish my DH were here to see how much our 3 grandchildren have grown and to see their accomplishments. Hard to believe he is gone 4 and a half years : (

It is cloudy and rainy this morning. Hopefully the weather holds up for Maddie's graduation as it is being held outdoors. No scrapping or crafting for me today but I may try and get some of my cards posted to my gallery. Or I may just chill until I have to start getting ready to leave.

Have a great day Cherries.

Hello, Cherries!

Barb!  Wow!  I cannot believe what I just read!  Aiden moving up and Maddie GRADUATING?!?!?!  Doesn't seem possible!  I know how proud you are!  Sending ((Hugs)) your way.

I've been baking/cooking most of the morning.  My freezer was empty.  I've made a pot of chili, a meatloaf, two loaves of cornbread, a batch of meatballs, and some hamburger patties.  I can officially say I don't want to be in the kitchen any more today.

As for the rest of the day -- maybe a walk and then . . . who knows!  I'll just play it by ear!

Have a great day ALL!

OCD is not an adjective.  It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized.  It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. 💙 I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son. 💙

Only 82 today. windy and overcast. Love it.

60 years ago today was a hot summer Sunday. I got up bright and early and put on an A-line white cotton dress with white lace overlay, pantyhose, and 1/2” high heels. Climbed into my VW and went over to pick up my sweetheart and his mom, 17 year old brother and 6 year old sister. We drove for two hours through the mountains to Reno, Nevada and got married!!! One of the best days of my life. My MIL wanted us to b married by a minister so we were married in the Chapel of the Bells about a block from the courthouse where we got our marriage license. So happy anniversary to me and to my sweet husband in heaven.

PS. His mom had to go with us because he was only 20 and couldn’t legally get married without his mom’s signature. Lol. This was a man who had been in the military for two years and had served 10 months in Viet Nam!!!

Have a fun Friday.

((Hugs)) to you Charleneanne on this special day. Lol he could go fight in a war but wasn't allowed to get married without his mommy. Geez that's just crazy. I love reading your special memory every year, it is the same day as my dad's birthday.

Overcast but 85 and so humid today!  Out early to DD's to wait for her washer and dryer delivery.  The time window was 9-12:30.  It arrived at 11, waited for the hook up and trial wash/dry and then headed home.  Stopped at the farm stand for our first corn on the cob of the season.  Can't wait to try it later.  DH is mowing before the rain arrives this evening  I doing some things that need done around the house after checking the flower beds.  I found one tiny weed.  :)  Have a good weekend Cherries!

{{{HUGS}}} Charleneann! What a sweet memory! Happy anniversary! The laws were so weird back then. You couldn’t vote either until you were 21. That never made sense to me. But how sweet that she was able to be there with you!

Your weather sounds wonderful!!!

Hello Cherries! 🍒

We got more rain last night and this morning! Still need more but there’s more in the forecast.

Steve is going to town for groceries and to do a couple of loads of laundry. I’ll stay home with the birds. We had an eagle try to get one of the chickens yesterday. Thank God we have let the crows hand around because they stopped it! Right now we aren’t letting the chickens free range. I’m not sure if I’ll let them out now that it’s not raining or not.

I’ve been in a weird funk the past few days. I’m haven’t done anything in my craft room. Hopefully I can get something done down there today.

If not I might find something to bake. :)

Have a great day Cherries!!!!

Woohoo...you have been busy!  I felt accomplished because I cleaned out my freezer. LOL  There was some homemade Skyline chili in there from DH's class reunion in 2024!  smh  It got buried.  Still...that's crazy...I don't know why I wait so long. It's not that hard to eat food or toss it. smh
