Hello Cherries and welcome to the Cherry Lift Challenge.  For August, our featured CHERRY is....

Rules:

1. Must be a new creation ~ Layout (paper or digi), card, art journal page, or project. 
   
2. You can do up to three entries with different creations/LIFTS.  Only one entry can be combined with other challenges.  
   
3. I must be able to tell on your creation what you lifted.
   
4. You must leave a lovin' comment on your selection and tell us WHY you chose to lift it  
   
5. Upload your work along with the creation you lifted to this thread.
   
6. This can be combined ONCE with one monthly challenge that allows and any team, prompt, paper challenge. 
   
7. Due by midnight on the last day of the month.
   

Participants will be numbered in the order of posting and a winner will be chosen from wheelofnames for a $5 ACOT gift card purchased by me.

Thank you so much, Deanna. I am honored to be chosen. I especially love the graphic you created. I figured out how to save a copy of it to my laptop so I'll have it "fur"ever! The little doggy looks so much like granddog Teddy when he was a puppy. Sadly, we lost him to cancer last year. Still miss the sweet furball!  I am looking forward to seeing what all the other Cherries create, but most especially any doggy projects! Thanks again for this honor!

Here is my lift


I used Rhonda's "I'll be watching you" layout - I was inspired by her composition, the banner, and the layered papers horizontally behind the photos. I flipped the banner, and added a few more photos, but kept it very similar.

 Did you ever try to tell a 4 year old what a 250 anniversary is of a country? He saw the cake and yelled "Happy Birthday" and wanted to know who's birthday it was. My son spent the next ten minutes explaining how we became a country. Neo decided he understood, and started singing "Happy Birthday to the city". Well?? OK

Here's mine. I combined with the Graphic Design challenge.
I choose this one to lift - liked the basic design and the use of 1 photo (which is always difficult for me so I look for lifts and sketches)

I was blown away by all of Rhonda's furry pet cards!  They are so fun.  I decided on the one below and made a sweet tribute card for Barb's Twinkie.  I hope she doesn't mind.
