color challenge #15 red/yellow
by CharleneanneMay 29, 2005

These are from our trip to Utah in early May. This 125 year old bar in a little mountain town is reknown for it's hamburgers. It is a 22 mile trip from my inlaws place and a lot of that is windy mountain roads. And yes, the food was worth it. the place is amazing. There is no record on the jukebox recorded after about 1960. And lots of good old country music.

The papers is all from the Junkitz collection, home sheets, home tablecloth, and home couch. The embellishments are JoAnn Essential Wild West and eye candy eyelet brads, and the title is sticko typewriter keys. The one frame is Wild Asparagus. I sanded it lightly and chalked it with glimmer chalk.

BTW, that animal head is from a 300 pound St. Bernard named Buck. He smoked cigars and lived in a bar in Yellowstone before he died. I did not sit at the table he is mounted over. Uggh

Looks great!
Is that really a dog's head on the second page?
Great lo! Brings back memories of living in Utah--every visitor of ours had to make a "pilgrimage" here! What fun.
You did an awesome job on this.
