Here's my layout for the 2nd week of the 52 scrapbook challenges, to use a single black and white photo. I cropped this one to fit my theme.

All materials except the transparency I used to print the title are from the Daisy D's Modern Romance Kit 1.
The "journaling", which is some different things I have experienced, is on die cut tags from the kit. They state:
These eyes have seen:
A father who never grew up enough to take care of his responsibilities.
A mother who had to raise 4 kids alone, and almost broke under the strain.
A stepfather with a monster's heart.
The consequences of poor decisions and a lack of planning for tomorrow.

A mother who cared enough to completely change the person she used to be.
Grandparents who were always selfless and loving.
Two children who are everything I wanted and more.
A life filled with many more ups than downs, which is all any of us could ask for.
